People always say doctors and nurses save lives, and they absolutely do. But who stops you from getting sick in the first place?
That is the untold truth of environmental health.
While clinicians treat the patient, environmental health professionals protect the entire population. We secure the water you drink, inspect the food you eat, and control the hazards you never even see coming.
Doctors heal the sick. Environmental health keeps you out of the hospital. Both save lives just on a different scale.
