Guided by our territorial expertise—deeply rooted in Zambia’s landscapes and extending across the region and continent—the journey of the Mines and Minds mobile archive was more than just storytelling; it was a strategic negotiation of place and permanence. This expertise played a crucial role in securing the exhibition’s final home at the Livingstone Museum, ensuring that Zambia’s mining legacy remains accessible to future generations.

To deeply engage with the lives and landscapes of the 1970s, our collaboration with Village Girls employed adaptive territorial execution—an approach that integrates research, observation, and lived experience to shape authentic storytelling. By immersing ourselves in the people and landscape of the 70s and 80s in Zambia, we were able to capture their stories with depth and authenticity.

We were honoured to host the UK Minister for Development and Women and Equalities, Anneliese Dodds, during her current state visit to Zambia. We had the privilege of showcasing the National Archives of Zambia's exhibition, "Zambia Unveiled: 60 Years of a Nation," which took the Minister and her delegation on a journey through six decades of Zambia's history.

We curated this exhibition with the support of the Irish Embassy, SAIPAR, and Stanbic Bank, and it highlights the nation's triumphs, challenges, and defining moments through the medium of newspaper archives dating back 60 years. We were proud to share this story with the Minister, accompanied by Acting British High Commissioner Sam Waldock, Irish Ambassador Bronagh Carr, and other government officials.

The exhibition is open to the public at the National Archives Zambia, weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Admission is free.
