The Learning Ladder Academy & Montessori Academy in Lusaka is offering the Oxford international Primary & Montessori Curriculum, invites applications from qualified, dedicated and innovative educators to fill the following positions: Special needs Teacher, Primary Teacher, Early Childhood Teacher, Shadow Teacher, Physical education Teacher, Music/ Art Teacher, School Nurse and Receptionist. 1. SPECAIL NEEDS TEACHER
Key Responsibilities:
Ø Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
Ø Support learners with physical, emotional, and learning challenges.
Ø Adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse needs.
Ø Collaborate with parents, therapists, and school staff.
Ø Monitor and report learner progress.
Minimum Qualifications & Requirements
Ø Diploma or Degree in Special Education (or related field).
Ø 2 to 3 Years Experience working with children with special needs.
Ø Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills.
Ø Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
2. PRIMARY TEACHER
Key Responsibilities
Ø Deliver engaging and effective lessons.
Ø Prepare lesson plans, schemes of work, and assessments in line with Oxford standards.
Ø Create a positive, inclusive, and learner-centred classroom environment.
Ø Support learners’ academic, social, and emotional development.
Ø Communicate effectively with parents regarding learners’ progress.
Ø Participate in staff meetings, school events, and professional development activities.
Ø Uphold school policies, safeguarding standards, and professional ethics
Minimum Qualifications & Requirements
Ø Diploma or Degree in Primary Education or a related field.
Ø Certification or training in the Oxford Curriculum / International Primary Curriculum is an added advantage.
Ø Valid Teaching Council of Zambia (TCZ) registration.
Ø Minimum of 2–3 years’ teaching experience in an international or Cambridge/Oxford curriculum setting.
Ø Strong classroom management and assessment skills.
Ø Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

3. EARLY CHILDHOOD TEACHER
Key Responsibilities
Ø Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate lessons.
Ø Prepare and maintain a well-organized, stimulating learning environment.
Ø Support children’s cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
Ø Observe, assess, and document learners’ progress.
Ø Encourage independence, confidence, and self-directed learning.
Ø Develop and maintain learner portfolios and classroom records.
Ø Communicate effectively with parents and guardians on learners’ development.
Ø Uphold child safeguarding, health, and safety standards.
Ø Work collaboratively with fellow teachers and school management
Minimum Qualifications & Requirements
Ø Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
Ø Montessori experience is a strong advantage.
Ø Valid Teaching Council of Zambia (TCZ) registration.
Ø Minimum of 2 years’ experience teaching in early childhood setting.
Ø Strong understanding of child development and child-centred learning.
Ø Excellent communication and classroom management skills

4. SHADOW TEACHER
Key Responsibilities
Ø Provide one-on-one or small group support for learners.
Ø Assist learners in accessing the curriculum and achieving learning goals.
Ø Implement strategies from Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with classroom teachers.
Ø Support learners with social, emotional, behavioural, and academic development.
Ø Observe, assess, and document learner progress and share reports with teachers and parents.
Ø Facilitate inclusion and integration of learners within mainstream classrooms.
Ø Work closely with teachers and school management to tailor learning approaches.
Ø Maintain confidentiality and uphold safeguarding standards
Ø Maintain regular, professional communication with parents regarding the learner's daily progress and goal attainment, ensuring a strong home-school partnership.
Ø Provide detailed reports and feedback to parents to justify interventions and celebrate developmental milestones
Ø Uphold strict professional ethics and safeguarding standards while acting as a dedicated support link for the family.
Minimum Qualifications & Requirements
Ø Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education or Special Education
Ø Minimum of 2 years’ experience supporting learners.
Ø Training or experience in working with learners with Autism, ADHD, Down syndrome, or other learning difficulties is an advantage.
Ø Strong understanding of child development and differentiated instruction.
Ø Excellent communication, observation, and interpersonal skills.
Ø Patient, empathetic, and child-centred approach.

5. PYSICAL EDUCATION TEACHER
Key Responsibilities
Ø Plan and deliver engaging Physical Education lessons in line with the school curriculum and international standards.
Ø Promote physical fitness, motor skills development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
Ø Organise and supervise indoor and outdoor sporting activities, games, and athletics.
Ø Identify and nurture learners’ talents in sports and physical activities.
Ø Ensure a safe learning environment by enforcing health, safety, and safeguarding standards.
Ø Assess learners’ physical development and maintain accurate progress records.
Ø Organise inter-house and inter-school sports events and competitions.
Ø Encourage positive behaviour, discipline, and inclusivity during physical activities.
Ø Communicate effectively with parents regarding learners’ progress and participation.
Ø Participate in staff meetings, school events, and professional development activities.
Ø Lead and coordinate the School House System to foster healthy competition, school spirit, and collective accountability among learners.
Ø Actively identify and nurture athletic talent, coaching school teams for various sporting disciplines.
Ø Manage all sports-related equipment and facilities, ensuring strict adherence to health, safety, and safeguarding standards.
Qualifications & Experience
Ø Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field.
Ø Valid teaching qualification and registration with the Teaching Council of Zambia (TCZ).
Ø Minimum of 2 years’ teaching experience (experience in private or international schools is an added advantage).
Ø Strong knowledge of child development, fitness training, and sports rules.
Ø Ability to coach a variety of sports and physical activities.
Ø First Aid certification will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities
Ø Plan and deliver engaging Music and/or Art lessons in line with the school curriculum and international best practices.
Ø Teach practical and theoretical aspects of music (vocal, instrumental, rhythm) and/or visual arts (drawing, painting, crafts, design).
Ø Encourage creativity, self-expression, and appreciation of the arts.
Ø Identify, develop, and nurture learners’ artistic and musical talents.
Ø Organise and support school concerts, exhibitions, performances, and cultural events.
Ø Create a positive, inclusive, and learner-centred classroom environment.
Ø Assess learners’ progress and maintain accurate academic records.
Ø Ensure safe handling and proper use of musical instruments and art materials.
Ø Uphold safeguarding, child protection, and school policies.

Qualifications & Experience
Ø Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Music, Fine Art, Art Education, or a related field.
Ø Valid teaching qualification and registration with the Teaching Council of Zambia (TCZ).
Ø Minimum of 2 years’ teaching experience (experience in private or international schools is an advantage).
Ø Ability to teach both practical and theory components of Music and/or Art.
Ø Experience in instrumental music, drama, or creative arts will be an added advantage.

7. SCHOOL NURSE
Key Responsibilities
Ø Provide first aid and basic medical care to learners and staff.
Ø Assess, manage, and document illnesses and injuries occurring at school.
Ø Administer prescribed medication in accordance with medical guidelines and parental consent.
Ø Maintain accurate medical records and confidential health information.
Ø Respond to medical emergencies and coordinate referrals to healthcare facilities.
Ø Promote hygiene, nutrition, and general health education within the school.
Ø Ensure the school sick bay is clean, safe, and well-equipped.
Ø Advise school management on health and safety policies.
Ø Uphold safeguarding, child protection, and infection prevention standards.
Ø Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding learners’ health concerns.
Qualifications & Experience
Ø Diploma or Degree in Nursing (General Nursing, Registered Nurse, or equivalent).
Ø Valid registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Zambia (NMCZ).
Ø Minimum of 3 years’ experience in nursing (school or paediatric experience is an added advantage).
Ø Current First Aid and CPR certification.
Ø Knowledge of child health, infection control, and emergency response.

8.RECEPTIONIST
We are seeking a friendly and organized Receptionist to be the first point of contact at our school.
Key Responsibilities:
Ø Welcome parents, visitors, and learners
Ø Answer phone calls and manage enquiries
Ø Maintain learners and visitor records.
Ø Support administrative and office duties.
Minimum Qualifications & Requirements
Ø Diploma or Degree in Business Administration or related field.
Ø 2 to 3 years experience.
Ø Strong communication and computer skills.
Ø Professional appearance and customer service skills.
Ø Ability to multitask and work with minimum supervision.
