Dennis Mubanga Kabwe is a Zambian photographer, filmmaker, podcast host, and creative entrepreneur with over a decade’s experience in visual storytelling and media production. He is widely recognised for capturing compelling human stories across photography, film, and digital media.
He is the founder and Creative Director of Umubanga Media, a Lusaka-based creative agency specialising in photography, filmmaking, graphic design, livestream production, and multimedia storytelling. Through Umubanga Media, Dennis has worked with a diverse range of organisations, businesses, churches, and individuals, producing impactful visual content that informs, inspires, and preserves stories.
Dennis gained international recognition in 2022 when he was named among the top 10 finalists in the prestigious Sony World Photography Awards’ Student Competition for his acclaimed photo series, "The Butcher." His work is distinguished by its authenticity, cultural depth, and strong narrative approach.
Beyond his work behind the camera, Dennis is the creator and host of The Umubanga Podcast, a platform dedicated to inspiring and informing audiences through meaningful conversations on faith, purpose, leadership, personal growth, creativity, and community impact. Through weekly episodes, he engages thought leaders, creatives, and change-makers, amplifying voices that are shaping society.

Jason J Mulikita is a Lusaka-based Zambian photographer and filmmaker with a passion for telling stories that matter. With over a decade of experience in the field, he has extensively travelled across Africa, India, UAE and the UK on various shoots for clients such as USAID, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), Gates Foundation, the University of Florida, Sightsavers, Save the Children, Roger Federer Foundation, CARE International, VSO International, New York Times, Clinton Health Access Initiative, Marie Stopes, Hivos and the United Nations and its agencies
Jason's work is characterised by a deep respect for the subjects he photographs and a commitment to accurately capture the spirit of their communities. His images are both beautiful and thought-provoking, and they have been recognised for their ability to move and inspire people. In addition to his work for NGOs, Jason has also worked with a variety of clients in the corporate, tourism and media sectors.

Meet our Speakers; Namukolo Siyumbwa

Namukolo Siyumbwa is a portraits and events photographer from the vibrant city of Lusaka in Zambia. She began photography as a hobby in 2016, and took it up full time at the end of 2018.
Her work mainly consists of encapsulating key moments for families and providing photography services for various businesses, from home-grown to established corporations.
She also practices fine art and street photography as a means of creative release and expression. She was a runner up in the Open Competition in the Sony World Photography Awards in 2022 and has had her work exhibited in the ZAMSTOCK Xtreme Photography to Inspire Group Photo Exhibition (2024) and Bakashimika International Photography Exhibition: Through Southern Eyes hosted in the Xposure International Film Awards in the U.A.E (2025). Her work has also been featured in Doek! Literary Magazine and JAYLit.
She is an alumni and mentor under Creator Business Studio, a pan-African initiative by Unpublished Africa, which focuses on teaching and supporting creators in entrepreneurship and exposing participants to opportunities. She is also the Visual arts Editor of Ubwali Literary Magazine.

She currently serves as Vice President of the Big Foot Foundation Africa in Zambia, lectures in Business Entrepreneurship and Digital Journalism, and manages the postgraduate program at Open Window University in Kabulonga. An entrepreneur and innovator, she is also the founder of the Kawa Nubian Coffee Brand and Tutandale Zambia, a social media platform dedicated to promoting domestic tourism and supporting local businesses.

Bezariel Mwanza is a Zambian wedding cinematographer, filmmaker, and Founder and Creative Director of (Sound Factory Entertainment). Born in Mufulira and raised with a passion for storytelling through music, he established Sfe Productions in 2006 as a music production studio. Over the years, he worked with notable Zambian gospel artists before expanding into music videos, event coverage, and eventually transforming the company into a full-service videography and photography media house and has built the company into one of Zambia’s leading visual storytelling brands.

Through dedication and a commitment to excellence, Bezariel led Sfe Productions to national recognition, winning Zambia’s Best Videographer Award in 2019. His portfolio includes documenting high-profile weddings and events for prominent families, public figures, and distinguished clients both in Zambia and internationally. In 2024, he further refined his craft by attending an advanced wedding filmmaking masterclass with Ray Roman Films in Florida, USA. Today, with nearly two decades of experience, Bezariel continues to create impactful visual stories through weddings, documentaries, corporate productions, and branded content, while inspiring the next generation of storytellers across Africa.
