ABOUT AWARDS AND MUSIC IN ZAMBIA.

In April of 2022, one of our music Videos we submitted played on MTV in New Zealand and Across Australia. That was a major win for us. Previously our music featured on major international platforms with lots of streams where we earned good sums of money.

Here is why I have mentioned these few things.

1. Do music for the passion and love you have for it. Ensure that you generate income out of your music by distributing your songs on digital platforms like boomplay, Spotify, Shazam and the like.

2. Make music videos of good QUALITY. And try to submit them to major TV stations like TRACE, MTV BASE OR MTV in the UK. This will be helpful interms of you getting recognition if playlisted.

3. INVEST IN YOURSELF. Stop blaming DJ's , Producers, Television Personalities, or fans in the public. Good investment and good work is recognised and you won't need to force things. It will be accepted and recognized as long as you do good music and market yourself.

4. BUILD A BRAND. This is key in ensuring that your work is respected. Have a good online presence. This means have good visibility on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Use visual tools as a marketing tool.

5. BE PROFESSIONAL. When addressing people have good and sound language or good communication. If you know you can not do this, have someone as your publicist. Someone who can speak on your behalf concerning your music and work or business related issues.

CONCLUSION

It is normal to express displeasure about awards, not being featured by established artists and all but remember your motivation should be the passion you have and using the tools mentioned.

We have personally been disappointed a number of times but that does not mean we should hate others or call those who disappointed us names. It should Inspire is to work even harder to achieve our goals.

Your work might not be recognized Today, but someone somewhere will appreciate what you have achieved and your capabilities.
