Launch of the Water Well in Nakonde at St African Methodist Episcopal Church - St. Thomas Chapel, Nakonde. The project is supported by the Office of the Presiding Bishop Vernon R Byrd Jr. Esq. and partners.

Nakonde is a border town and millions of people transit through the town as it serves as a Strategic Logistics and Freight Hub.

The Well is this a blessing to the community.

Bonner Chapel in Mbala South Presiding Elder District is making significant progress with modification of the old church hall into a School. This is a great contribution to the Free Education Law that the government has just enacted. As part of its work within the Community of Mbala the Church desires to leave no child behind in ensuring they all attain an education.

The School will benefit from the Water Well that was installed recently. Pupils will have access to clean and safe drinking water. Their nutrition will be improved with the set up of a small kitchen garden for vegetables, fruits and herbs.

2026 VISION CONFERENCE (17th Episcopal District)

On behalf of the Rev. Dr. Alvin E. Attah and Mrs. Naomi L. Attah, the Attah4Bishop Campaign Team extends fraternal greetings and heartfelt prayers to the esteemed leader and members of the 17th Episcopal District of the African Methodist Episcopal Church. As you convene for the 2026 Vision Conference (April 23 – 25, 2026), we celebrate the dedicated and anointed leadership that guides your path.

We wish to offer our profound appreciation for the visionary stewardship of the Presiding Prelate, the Rt. Rev. Vernon R. Byrd, Jr. His unwavering commitment to spiritual formation, administrative excellence, and missional expansion remains a beacon for the entire Connection. We also recognize the graceful and steadfast ministry of Supervisor Melinda Contreras-Byrd, whose dedication continues to enrich the lives of many within the 17th Episcopal District.
