WHEN PRAYERS FEEL EMPTY: WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN GOD FEELS SILENT?

There is a version of faith nobody really puts on the Instagram carousel. The version where you prayed. You waited. You prayed again. And... nothing. No obvious answer. No dramatic sign. No sudden breakthrough. Just silence. And eventually, the questions start. Did God hear me? Did I do something wrong? Maybe I don't have enough faith. Why does everyone else seem to be hearing from God except me?...

Today's food for the spirit:

"Work hard so you can present yourself to God and receive his approval. Be a good worker, one who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly explains the word of truth."

2 Timothy 2:15 NLT

When we read this scripture, we're not being told to "work so God will love us". In actual sense, we're being told that because God already loves us, we should give Him our best in service. Paul reminds Timothy that our goal isn't to impress people but to be faithful before God. When we take our walk with Him seriously and handle His Word with care, we can live with confidence, knowing we're honoring the One who matters most.

If we are led by the Spirit of God, let these attributes of characters be a result of His leadership, beyond the gifts and anointing we seek.

Here's a reminder to go beyond loving peace, but maintain it too, when you find it. Our response to difficult people and difficult circumstances should reflect God's character. Rather than escalating conflict, we are called to actively pursue peace while remaining faithful to what is right.

Today, we're being reminded to be our brother's keeper, correct (in lovel) whatever is wrong, and keep eachother accountable as believers. We cannot to comfortably watch as someone wastes away in their sin.
Let the love of Christ move us to point people back to Him.
