The Zambian Dispatch has been investigating corruption and allegations of abuse in the Zambia Army for the last 3 years.

We have evidence of deplorable conditions in barracks and officer misconduct that will make any sane person sick to their stomachs.

Our Zambian female soldiers are r***d while over 30% of young people are on drugs due to mental health illnesses. HIV rates in the army is as high as 38% and there is nothing command or even government is doing to arrest the situation.

We have testimony from 300 soldiers across the country and units. This is a rotten system destroying our children.

Look out for our detailed report..

If you are a soldier and are experiencing abuse, neglect, and mental trauma message us with your evidence. We will not reveal your name.

Military justice is supposed to serve soldiers not protect officers abusing young women and men.

MINISTER OF COMMERCE CLARIFIES POSITION ON PRICING

Lusaka - The Minister of Commerce, Trade and Industry, Hon. Chipoka Mulenga, is not calling for price controls.

His position has been clear: Government is committed to a private-sector-driven economy and will not dictate prices.

What the Minister is advocating for is fair pricing that reflects the current macroeconomic environment.

With inflation trending downward, the Kwacha stabilizing, and fuel prices relatively lower, manufacturers, suppliers, and transporters are expected to pass those benefits on to consumers rather than maintain artificially high prices.

This is a call for responsible market behavior, not intervention.

Zambians deserve to feel the benefits of economic stabilization, and industry partners have a role to play in making sure consumers are not burdened by outdated cost structures.

Either President Hakainde Hichilema doesn’t know what is happening in his government or he has lendered a blind eye to grand corruption. This Ambulance scandal goes all the way up to Garry Nkombo and his people at ZAMMSA.

Why has the President failed to reign procurement mishaps at ZAMMSA? Because we believe at the end of the day, the buck stops with him. He is the President. One would want to believe HH is in charge, but with these happenings one wonders whether he even knows who is in charge of these Ministers.

Paramount Chief Mpezeni on a Jeep during the Ncwala procession in Eastern Zambia.

The use of the American made Jeep has raised some concerns about the authenticity of traditional ceremonies in Zambia. Online critics have accused the Paramound Chief of an opulent lifestyle that he is pushing into the Ngoni’s traditions.

There has been pushbacks from some social media commentators saying they don’t expect the traditional leader to walk. Ncwala ceremony was held this past week in Chipata.
