IT'S JUST POLITICS! NOT WITH ME! 🙅🏾‍♂️

It's high time we became honest with each other!
Guys, hear me clearly here! This is not about winning or losing an election! It's not about tribe. It's not about who you support. It's about what you support and how you support it! As adults, let's be honest with each other. You can't tell me IT'S JUST POLITICS SO THERE IS NO NEED TO END FRIENDSHIPS. Listen, I know 100% that most of us don't benefit from politicians. I know that politicians are there to serve their own interests.

But when politicians throw some ideas or strategy at us as supporters, how we respond to that is not about the politician. It's about us. The reasoning we throw around to support certain things is not something that can keep our friendships at a mutual level. For example, no matter how much I love and support President Hakainde Hichilema , I can't support how he allowed the candidate adoption process where there were two candidates, both having adoption certificates for one and the same position. Then started fighting. That was chaotic!

Let me be clear here! Someone reasoning like they don't have a brain in the way they support a particular candidate in the name of IT'S JUST POLITICS is not enough for you to be friends with them. Get me right! I haven't said you start hating each other. No! We are not going to hate each other. But we are not going to be friends. We can manage not being friends and still not hate each other. We have just discovered that our thinking and reasoning because of politics is not something that can sustain our friendship.

Excusing politics for some ju**ie kind of reasoning is not going to erase the fact that rationality is very far from some people. Like how......how can you tell me that someone ran away from persecution and has become a prophet in the diaspora? And we should believe what he says. Or I should be believing whatever some deluded woman says because she is always up-to-date even when she is very far. Me? You mean me? A Master's degree holder from UNZA should sit to be listening to such and believe it and still be friends with you because IT'S JUST POLITICS?

You support buffoonery and hooliganism because it's your candidate doing it! And we should still be friends because IT'S JUST POLITICS! No my friend. Actually.....let me not call you my friend. Nooo my former friend! Go and find other friends. I also go and find other friends. If I don't find other friends, it's okay. I'll be eating t-bone alone! Some friendships must end right now before elections end! By next week, we must each one be in our own spaces with our different ju**ie reasoning because IT'S JUST POLITICS. No talking to each. But no hate feelings! Hooliganism is not dissent!

Politicians may not respect us but can we respect ourselves by ending some friendships! 🌹🙏🏾
