A woman in Lusaka's Kamanga compound shared the story of her life and how she suffered at the hands of an abusive husband. She suffered through the three pregnancies she had expecting his children. Getrude Chirwa shares the traumatic effects of having to leave a single mother looking after three children unemployed. In her last word through the intervivew, she says, "I would rather die than see all this happening to me and my children". Referring to two of her children (boy and a girl) who were defiled not long after she got divorced. I set out to bring out these sad stories on behalf of the women of Zambia, beings that we should respect above anything or any other. My name is Chanda Mubanga, producer and Director of film. Society Ills is my first biggest documentary film. My partners in this project include Israel Mbewe, Jonathan Banda and Ovine Nyalazi. Be a part of the fight against GBV in Zambia to save Zambia. Save a woman, you save the nation.
