By Police News Reporter
A second cohort of Zambeef Products Plc security officers has successfully graduated in Chisamba District, barely four months after the pass-out of the company’s first-ever group of 205 officers.
Speaking during the pass-out parade of 119 security officers held in Central Province on May 15, 2026, Inspector General of Police Mr. Graphel Musamba said security and national development are closely linked, adding that the Zambia Police Service remains committed to promoting safety and security.
Mr. Musamba, who was represented by Paramilitary Battalion Commanding Officer Dr. Yobe Luhana, Commissioner of Police, said the Zambia Police Service is ready to provide advanced security management training to business entities across the country.
“The Service is more than ready to provide state-of-the-art security management training to any business entity,” Mr. Musamba said.
He emphasized that partnerships aimed at building security capacity are important to the core mandate of the Zambia Police Service.
Mr. Musamba further noted that the security skills imparted to the Zambeef security personnel would help strengthen measures against potential security breaches.
Speaking at the same event, Zambeef Chief Financial Officer Mr. Patrick Kalifungwe, who represented Chief Executive Officer Ms. Faith Mukutu, said the partnership between the Zambia Police Service and Zambeef Products PLC demonstrates a strong commitment to safety and community wellbeing.
“Your contribution goes beyond this program, as it indirectly supports the safety and wellbeing of the wider Zambeef community across the various locations where these officers will serve,” Ms. Mukutu said in a speech read on her behalf.
Meanwhile, Zambeef Group Head Security Officer Mr. Whytedy Kamanda said improved security knowledge across the company’s business operations would enhance productivity and profitability.
Mr. Kamanda expressed confidence that the skills and discipline acquired during the training would improve security operations and contribute to business growth.
The basic security training programme was aimed at enhancing security awareness, promoting workplace safety, and strengthening cooperation in crime prevention and public safety.
