Guys! I don't remember ever coming here and saying I was a rich kid.
Honestly, I'm touched by this comment because it's comments like these that discourage a lot of young stars out there and make them feel like, in order to be great in life, you have to come from a rich background or at least lie to people about coming from one.
I understand that branding is important, and there's nothing wrong with presenting yourself well. But even with that, I'll never showcase myself as someone I'm not. I'm not going to take a picture at my neighbour's house just because it looks better than ours.
IN FACT, THIS IS OUR HOUSE! And I'm not ashamed of it. 🙏🏽
Let's learn to stop being ashamed of where we come from. Your background is a part of your story, but it doesn't determine how far you're going. You don't have to fake a lifestyle to prove that you're destined for greatness.
Be proud of your journey. Be honest about your beginnings. One day, you might look back and realize that the very things you once felt ashamed of were the things that made your story worth telling. ❤️🙏🏽
