Agents of Change Foundation Zambia and the Arid Lands Information Network (ALIN) with support from SouthSouthNorth (SSN) through the Voices for Just Climate Action Programme ( the Cross Regional Collaboration Grant) have organised an online learning between the Zambia and Kenya Youth on Monday, 12th August 2024 at 2:00 PM Zambian time ahead of the Regional Conference of Youth on Climate Change (RCOY) Southern Africa.

We hope we can also have SSN presence during the learning session.

A PRIVATE MEMBERS’ MOTION TO URGE GOVERNMENT TO CONSIDER PROVIDING TAX HOLIDAYS TO WASTE RECYCLING COMPANIES

We look forward to debating this private members’ motion on 25th October, 2023 urging Government to consider providing a 5-year tax holidays to companies engaged in waste recycling in order to enhance the fight against climate change.

We also believe that waste recycling can significantly contribute to economic development and job creation.

The people of Kanchibiya will call on the house to provide tax holidays on equipment used for recycling and circular activities. There is no
equipment manufacturer in Zambia, all machinery has to be imported into the country.
