CHOOSE YOUR FRIENDS WELL
Happy New month to you all. We are certain you had a glorious January.
One of the things you have to work on in order to have a productive life is to choose friends well.
Many Christians behave as though and think God wants us to really be close to every Christian. That is not entirely true. There are several places in the bible where God forbids us from relating with certain types of Christians.
The scripture below is a good example:
2 Thessalonians 3:6 Amplified Bible (AMP)
" Now we command you, believers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ and by His authority, that you withdraw and keep away from every brother or sister who leads an undisciplined life and does not live in accordance with the tradition and teaching that [a]you have received from us"
There you are. The bible here tells you to stay away from one who leads a life that is undiciplined contrary to the teachings of the word you have received from your spiritual leaders.
Did you notice that it actually also refers to fellow believers if they are idle and unproductive?
I charge you today , choose your friends well. Your life will greatly be influenced by the kind of friends you keep.
I end by reminding you that two can not be friends unless they agree. You will have to be a thief to be friends with a thief. You will need to eventually be lazy to sustain friendship with a lazy man.
Strangely it is easier for bad company to corrupt good morals than for good company to convert a bad friend who has rooted himself in some habits.
I declare discernment in your spirit to know whom to keep around you in Jesus' name.
