THE EXISTENCE OF GOD

The greatest and most profound idea the human mind can ever conceivably entertain concerns the possibility of the existence of a personal God. The absolute importance of man's response to this idea cannot be exaggerated, for it will NOT only govern his life down here but also determine his ULTIMATE DESTINY. Unless one satisfactorily answers the WHO question, he cannot possibly solve the how, why, when and where problems of his own existence. All mankind has some idea of a Supreme Being. While the concept of God found in many cultures but the difference is on the number, name and nature of supreme Being, nevertheless the idea remains. NO WHERE HE CAN'T REACH- OMNPRESENT GOD
PSALM 139:1-12
Key Verse :7 ' where can i go from your Spirit? or where can i go from your presence?'
The psamist narrated the existance of god in much areas we question His presence. There are times when Christians can be epescially conscious of His presence, and other times when He seems a million miles away. But the promise is that, whatever our feelings, He never moves from our side:
He is present in the depth(v8). The shadowy underworld of dispair and valley of disappointments.
He is present in the distance(v9). God is not confined like Israelites who only believed He was only in Jerusalem. distance can mean being far from your home or church you are familiar with.
He is present in darkness(vv 11,12). Darkness often represent problems, poor relationships, dubious practices, sickness, poverty, jobless for a long period ,etc. GOD SEES THAT NONE OF YOUR HAIR FALLS FROM YOUR HEAD WITHOUT HIS CONSENT!!!

Psalm 30:5
"...weeping may endure for the night but joy comes in the morning".

Psalm 126:5,6
" Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy. He who continually goes for weeping, bearing seed for sowing, shall come doubtless again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him".
I have fallen in love with the book of Psalms so much nowadays. It is inspiring so much and am fully comforted, like Martin Luther said,' I use scripture as a lighter to kindle the fire in my heart'. Surely this book is the lighter of approval of the existance of God and His undisputed favor and Omnipotence. He works in ways i can't see, He makes my darkiness into light, mourning into joy. Therefore, all our discomfortness and agony God shall cast far if we trust Him as our sole helper. This is who JEHOVAH is the rock of my refuge.

Prayer is the weapon every christian should possess. Remember, Jesus retired to the mountain to pray and commanded his disciples to cross lake Galilee. And they strove with the storm the whole night. MEASURE OF LOVE- Practical Test
1 John 3:16
"Hereby we percieve the love of God, becouse He laid down His life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for our brethren".
Cain and the fallen world failed this test of love. But the children of God can pass. John has in this passage outlined the measure of love or the test of love. The first measure of love is a practical test. The love of God is a love we can percieve or see in action. When God loved the world He sent the heavenly greatest gift ever- Jesus Christ. (" but God demostrated His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us" Rom 5:8). Love like God's love could not give nothing less. God's children should resemble their Father in this kind of love. We should be willing to do just about anything for our friends. Practical assistance has a great blessing.

GOD IS THE WHEN YOU ARE LOST
EXODUS 13:17-17:15
Probably few Israelites knew exactly where Canaan was, nor how long it would take to get there since they were slaves. The direct route would take few days. But when they turned south into the desert, the journey got longer. The rough scrubland could not sustain large numbers for long. Yet once again, in their extrimity they discover more about God, He is their guide. the cloudy and fiery pillars(13:21,22) were a sign of God's presence. they had no doubt that He knew where they should go or not. He was their Provider He gave them manna and water. He was their Protector- the unarmed Israel defeated the well equiped Amalekites. Traveling by faith is the blind journey only trust a Leader-God. God gives, leads and fights for His people. Let us see in this lesson that God is always ready to lead His people, and that they should follow even when it take them down what seem to be wrong turns.

Tonight let us stand together and pray that the Almighty God may grant us favor to achieve our mission. Our mission in marriage, children, employment, ministry and businesses all depend on the source of our lives- GOD ALMIGHTY. Nehemiah 9:1-3. Only thru submission and humility can we achieve. They submitted and dedicated their work, family and the nation israel to God the LORD of Saboath we may do the same.

JESUS MAN WITH A MISSION
John 6:38
" i have come down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of the one who sent me."
christ was, par excellence, " a man with a mission." He knew what was ahead of him and each hour to him is was counted worthly. His mission was " to seek and save the lost"- Luke 19:10. He never despised the cross- John 12:27 for it was the tool God prepared to bring salvation to mankind. That is why in his death we have redemption. His death on the cross was the route to complete victorious mission. For us what is our mission both in spiritual and physical lives? what is our mission for our children or the job we do? Remember, "your mission affect your discision".
