OUR MONDAY MORNING BIBLE VERSE

Good Morning

Here is our Word for today:

Verse: Ephesians 4:32

‘Be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.’

- Unforgiveness is one thing that keeps us stuck in the past.

- When we move past our own hurt and start being kind, our lives change.

- In the process, we can also be kind to ourselves and forgive ourselves.

- Then our lives can be a blessing and we can dispense His grace to others.

PRAYER: Holy God, we choose to extend forgiveness to all who have done wrong to us. We want to enjoy the freedom that forgiveness can bring and we want to be a source of blessing and kindness to others in Christ Jesus' Name we pray. Amen.

Verse: Malachi 4:2

‘And you will go free, leaping with joy like calves let out to pasture.’

- Do you realise that God wants you to experience His freedom and joy?
- He steps into our lives to open the gate so that we can run free.
- We may find ourselves in a tough place, but His plan is different.
- God’s desire is for you to experience the freedom and joy that He gives.

PRAYER: Dear God, we ask that this promise would become a reality in our life. We ask You to open the gates that hold us captive, break the iron bars that hold us back, and bring us to the place where we can experience Your joy and Your freedom in our lives. In Christ Jesus' Name we pray Amen.

Verse: Acts 2:25

‘I constantly fixed my eyes upon the Lord, because He is at my right hand in order that I may continue unshaken.’

- When Peter got out of the boat, he walked on water as long as he looked at the Lord.
- When he looked around at the storm, he began to sink.
- We need to watch what we focus on and fix our eyes on the Lord.
- The promise is that He is with you and you can continue unshaken.

PRAYER: Dear God, we choose to lift our focus off of the things that concern us and to fix our focus on You. You are the source of our lives, light and hope, and with You beside us, we can be filled with hope and expectation, regardless of the storms that come our way. In Christ Jesus' Name we pray Amen.

Verse: John 7:38

‘Whoever believes in Me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.’

- The Lord wants you to be alive from the inside out.
- He wants His life, the life of God, to be alive within you.
- As you believe in Him, this life can begin to flow like a river.
- His living water can come and bring new life to your heart and soul.

PRAYER: Dear God, we pray that Your living water will start to flow afresh in our lives. May we know that life giving flow, which comes from You, flowing through our very being.

- Surely the Lord will come through for you.
- Surely, He will not abandon or forsake you.
- You have every reason to trust and not be afraid.
- See, God will come to save you, so trust and have no fear.
