PRINCE MUCHIMBA’S STORY OF COURAGE, FOCUS AND NEVER LETTING CIRCUMSTANCES DEFINE HIS DESTINY

Prince Muchimba’s story is one of courage, focus, and refusing to let circumstances stand in the way of a dream. Born differently abled, Prince never allowed his condition to define who he is or limit what he could achieve. From early on, he set his sights on building an independent life and pursuing a career in accountancy.

Yesterday, that dream took a big step forward as Prince proudly graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from ZCAS University. His achievement is a testament to his hard work, determination, and resilience.

Along the way, Prince found strong support from Maamba Energy Limited (formerly Maamba Collieries Limited), which believed in his potential and invested in his future by covering his tuition, accommodation, and other essentials. That support, combined with Prince’s relentless effort, has now borne fruit.

Congratulations to Prince Muchimba on this incredible milestone. His journey is proof that with the right mindset, perseverance, and support, no dream is beyond reach. The future holds even greater things for him.

👏

ZAMBIA AND SAUDI ARABIA ESTABLISH JOINT BUSINESS COUNCIL TO STRENGTHEN TRADE AND INVESTMENT TIES

Lusaka... Friday September 18, 2025

The Zambia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ZACCI) and the Federation of Saudi Chambers have signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to formally establish the Saudi–Zambian Joint Business Council (JBC).

The signing ceremony, held in Lusaka, marks a major step in strengthening trade, investment, and economic cooperation between the two nations.

Reuben Mtolo, Minister of Agriculture, underscored Zambia’s ambition to diversify its economy beyond copper, highlighting opportunities in mining, agriculture, agribusiness, energy, tourism, and manufacturing.

He urged Saudi investors to partner with Zambia in transforming these opportunities into tangible projects that create jobs and wealth.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Crusivia Hichikumba, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry, reaffirmed the government’s commitment to positioning the private sector as the driver of growth.

He emphasized Zambia’s focus on building an economy where private enterprise leads industrial transformation, job creation, and expanded participation in regional and global value chains.

Representing ZACCI, Mr. Andrew Sinyangwe, Vice President Services, on behalf of ZACCI President Mr. Anthony Kabaghe, welcomed the partnership with the Saudi private sector.

He noted that the JBC is not just a forum for dialogue but a catalyst for joint ventures, technology transfer, and expanded market access for Zambian enterprises.

On the Saudi side, Mr. Waleed H. Alorainan, Secretary General of the Federation of Saudi Chambers, representing His Excellency Ali Saad Al-Kahtani, Chairman, reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s commitment to Zambia.

He highlighted that the Joint Business Council provides a strategic platform for mutually beneficial partnerships and enhanced cooperation across multiple sectors.

LOADSHEDDING HAS REDUCED ZAMBIA TO A VILLAGE - YAMFWA

Former Energy Minister Yamfwa Mukanga has blasted the government and Zesco, saying Zambia has been dragged backwards to the level of a village where citizens can’t even enjoy basic energy needs like watching football.

This comes after Zesco shamelessly announced that households would only receive six hours of electricity per day—while offering a hollow apology for chaotic load-shedding schedules.

Mukanga said the situation has crippled businesses and left ordinary Zambians in misery. He demanded that Zesco strictly adhere to its own load management timetable instead of throwing the nation into disarray.

“Zesco must stick to the schedule. Right now, Zambia has been reduced to a village, and people are suffering,” Mukanga charged.

Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni has declared that the 2026 general election will mark his final bid for the presidency, bringing an end to a political career that has spanned nearly four decades.

The 80-year-old leader, who has ruled Uganda since 1986 ( almost 40 years), said he would not seek office beyond 2026 and urged Ugandans to turn out in large numbers to support him for the very last time.

PRESIDENT HARRY KALABA TO GIVE 100% BASIC PAY AS RURAL HARDSHIP ALLOWANCE TO CIVIL SERVANTS.
==========================

Zambians should ignore hired toxic media tabloids such as The News Diggers Newspaper who are hèll bent on discrediting feasible deliberate policies meant to improve working conditions for civil servants.

CF President Harry Kalaba has amassed enough experience in the civil service space were he rose to a position of Foreign Affairs Minister to a point when he left the PF government to form his own political party he came up with a program of debt swap which many called a " crazy idea " until the PF government implemented it and majority civil servants benefited todate they still appreciate.

We are aware that News Diggers Newspaper is desperately trying to increase paper sales, however attacking Citizens First Party and President Harry Kalaba on deliberate policies that are viable is certainly not the best approach unless the entire production crew is aloof from reality.

60 years after independence at a time Zambia is discovering precious minerals of high value on the global market it's just right to say with proper management and political will 100% of basic pay to be given as rural hardship allowance can easily be actualized in order to improve the welfare of our nation and it's citizenry.

News diggers newspaper should know that just those tax holidays given by the upnd government to foreign owned mining companies are enough to make the 100% rural hardship allowance to our distinguished civil servants.

100% rural hardship allowance will not only motivate our civil servants but produce desired results particularly in the *Education Sector* which risk compromising quality education as a result of free education policy.

Civil servants under the Upnd government have suffered slàvèry conditions of service amidst unprecedented levels of high cost of living

BINWELL MPUNDU DENIES SEDITIOUS PRACTICES CHARGES IN COURT

CELEBRATED and influential law maker Binwell Mpundu has pleaded not guilty to charges of seditious practices after allegedly making inflammatory statements linking Trevor Mwinde to the abduction of Hon. Jay Jay Banda.

The case mirrors earlier convictions of former MPs Maureen Mabonga (Mfuwe) and Munir Zulu (Lumezi), who both lost their seats after facing similar seditious charges.

Prosecutors claim the independent lawmaker went further on December 29, 2024, urging fellow politicians to arm themselves for protection remarks authorities say threatened public order.

Appearing before Magistrate Webster Milumbe, Mpundu denied the allegations, and a not guilty plea was entered. His trial has been set for October 13, 2025.
