Having less s*x may make you 70% more likely to die early, study shows.
Women who have s*x less than once a week may face a significantly higher risk of dying early, according to research analyzing health data from over 14,500 Americans.
The study found that women with less frequent s*xual activity were 70% more likely to die during the 10-year follow-up period compared to those who had s*x more often.
While the link wasn’t found in men, the data did show that people suffering from depression who also had low s*xual frequency were about three times more likely to die during the same period—suggesting s*x may help counter some of the deadly effects of mental health issues.
Researchers emphasized that while they can’t prove s*x directly causes better health, the findings align with previous research showing s*x can boost mood, improve cardiovascular health, and enhance overall well-being.
Importantly, the health benefit appeared to grow with more frequent s*x, especially for women. This study adds to mounting evidence that an active s*x life may be more than just pleasurable—it could be a vital part of living longer and healthier.
