MAN CANCELS WEDDING AFTER FINDING PHOTOS OF HER WOMAN SMOKING HEAVILY

A husband to be has reportedly called off his wedding after discovering old photos of his fiancée smoking on social media .

According to reports, the man came across these pictures on Facebook, showing his soon-to-be bride smoking heavily in the past.

"I’ve been with my boyfriend for over two years now, He's 40 & I'm 28 years old. Actually, We met online, and honestly, he’s a wonderful man. He’s a very successful businessman living in a different city, and things have been great whenever I go to visit him.

I have a good job where I earn K12 000 every month. My boyfriend wants us to get married, but his condition is that I must relocate to his town and quit my job. He doesn't want me working at all. I'm afraid because, This has caused a lot of tension lately. He isn't happy because I haven't agreed yet, and it’s starting to affect our relationship. I love him deeply, but I’m so confused.

I don’t come from a wealthy background. I am the sole breadwinner for my family. My salary is what pays for my three siblings' school fees and takes care of my parents. If I quit, they lose everything.
He promised that once we are married, he will give me a monthly allowance to cover everything and even help me start a business in his town later on.

BURKINA FASO'S PARLIAMENT APPROVES BAN ON POLITICAL PARTIES

BURKINA Faso's transitional parliament on Monday approved a bill banning all political parties in a move observers say allows the military junta led by Captain Ibrahim Traore to consolidate control.

The text which received no opposition from lawmakers repeals the charter of political parties and the law relating to the financing of parties, electoral campaigns and the status of the political opposition.

Political party activities have been suspended in the Sahel country since the army seized power in 2022.

On Thursday, the United Nations rights chief called on the Burkina Faso government to halt all repression of civic space and to overturn its plan to prohibit all political parties.

In July, Burkinabe authorities enacted a restrictive new law on freedom of association and, in November, issued a new decree requiring NGOs and associations to open and maintain cash accounts exclusively with a state-run bank.

A government minister has defended the ban as a 'reset' which ends the polarization of the population which he blamed on political parties.

Meet Robert Chelogoi, a resident of Chelemei Village, Kipreres Ward, Bomet East Sub-County, Bomet County.

Robert has been battling a serious chronic illness since 2005. What began as a small wound on his nose gradually worsened over the years, forming a deep hollow wound and eventually leading to the complete loss of his eyesight. Despite the pain and years of uncertainty, Robert has continued to fight with remarkable courage.

He has sought treatment in several hospitals, including Longisa County Referral Hospital, and was later referred to Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital in Eldoret, where he underwent chemotherapy. Doctors have now recommended further specialized treatment at Kenyatta National Hospital.

Sadly, after years of medical struggles, his family has exhausted all available resources. At this critical moment, Robert needs support like never before.

As Team Strong we saw the need of helping him and his family.We are conducting more background check and we will soon share an update.This is a call for compassion, unity, and hope. Every prayer and every act of kindness matters.

Tired Soldier’s Heart

Omar is tired.
Not the kind of tired sleep can fix.
The kind that lives inside the bones.

Sometimes he thinks about the life outside.
The freedom to sleep anytime.
To wake up anytime.
To choose any job.
To live soft, live free, live without orders.

He asks himself, “Why didn’t I sign up for that life?”
A life with comfort.
A life with luxury.
A life without boots, rifles, and long nights.

But then he remembers the oath.
He remembers the flag.
He remembers the people sleeping peacefully because someone is standing guard.

So he wipes his face, grips his rifle, and moves on.
Not because it’s easy.
Not because he’s happy.
But because he loves his country.
Because passion still beats inside his tired chest.

The pain is real.
The sacrifice is heavy.
The freedom he dreams of is far away.

Yet he stays.
He fights.
He endures.

While others enjoy comfort,
a soldier carries the burden,
so the nation can breathe in peace.

This is the side of service many may never see.
