As a creative, I'm very sad about what is happening with David Kazadi. I understand how our actions will always catch up with us, but deep down I really wish this hadn't happened. David Kazadi brought something new to the entertainment industry. He made most creatives realize that gatekeepers aren't powerful. He managed to make a million-dollar grossing movie without bootlicking Zambezi Magic and DSTV. He made a lot of us believe in ourselves and our talents regardless of what other people feel. He's very passionate about showbiz, and his ideas have always been spot-on and helpful. And I know that a lot of people didn't like him because of his belief in doing it himself. But to some of us, he made us fall in love with our creativity when we felt like things can't work in Zambia. He proved that even Zambia can be on the map. I'm so saddened by the "fall" of this passionate guy. I don't know if he'll come back and reclaim his position, but God, I wish for that to happen. However, maybe his role is done, and it's time for us to pick it up from where he has left off. Anyway, all in all, it's so sad.
