As usual, we are in the studio making music. Noelo comes up with this brilliant idea of how he wants to make a song that has two sides to it, and he already has a vision of how he wants the video to be. He tells me he wants to create a song that has two perspectives. In verse one, he will provoke issues affecting a character, mostly drug abuse, and in verse two, the drug addict defends himself while dramatically firing shots at the one advising him. And the chorus simplifies the concept by painting a picture of how everything can be wrong, depending on the angle you're looking at.

I immediately touched my keys and played my favorite piano movement, programmed the drums, and added all other catchy instruments. However, I enjoyed the chorus more because it was choral (involved a lot of people). I think we have over 10 people who put their voices on the choir vocals in the background (it will be expensive to pay them all, 😂😂).

The song I'm talking about is "Hinyonyono", and it just bagged an award for Best Collaboration, Southern Province, at the just-ended South Touch Music Awards. Congratulations, Noelo Kamelo and ChatterPatrick' Zambia for this award. However, it belongs to the studio and not your home so bring it 😂😂

That song helped a lot of us navigate through battles no one knew about. Thank you for sharing your soul to the world Noelo Kamelo

One day as I was walking back home from the studio, I heard someone calling me from behind, "Boss, boss?!" I looked back and there was this young man in his early 20s.

First question he asked me, "Are you Noelo Kamelo, the guy who did Andiza?" I smiled and answered yes. He introduced himself and told me he was a student, I stood there, waiting so that I could end the conversation quickly coz my son was not feeling well at home.

After the introduction, I was actually exacting the common stories most people will tell you," you're the best, you're better than Tiger😂" and then they go tell Tiger the same thing," you're better than Kamelo", but no, this conversation was different.

With tearily eyes he told me how many times he almost commuted sûïcidë, but when he heard Andiza, the song was telling his story. Looking straight into my eyes he told me," you have no idea what that song did to me, it's the reason I'm at College right now"

I just stood there, speechless, my goosebumps flushing like traffic lights. This is a conversation I was not expecting, from that day, I knew that Andiza was not only my story, it was a reflection of what almost everyone passes through at some point in life.

So, one day, I was in the studio, and Noelo Kamelo came up with a brilliant idea for a project. I started making the beat, and the vocalist singer laid down the hook. It was time for the verses, and as usual, Noelo took his time crafting his verses. Months later, I left Monze for Chipata, where I stayed for about three months, pushing other hustles. I came back to Monze, and Noelo was hungry to record his verses. On the first project we opened, he spit fire and emotion; I could feel it in my bones. The whole room (studio) felt cold because of how emotional the verse was. If my memory serves me right, he only did one take. When he was done, I asked him what that was about, and he said, "When you were away, I prayed that I wouldn't die so that people could hear this song." That spoke deeply to me because I realized how much potential I had and how I never want to go to the grave with so much inside of me.

Well, the song I'm talking about is "Andiza," which features Terry Lanz. The moment it was released, on December 5th, 2022, which was three years ago today, the song went on to open more doors for us. The brother even featured on King Bugar, the Zambezi TV reality show on MultiChoice. Well, happy birthday, fam! It's now time to unlock another level. Your upcoming album will shake the whole region!
