Yesterday a woman that took her sick child to Mpulungu urban clinic was made to mop the vomit of her sick child by a named Clinical officer who apparently vowed that he wouldn't attend to anyone until the woman mopped the vomit and he left the screening room leaving all the patients on a long queue like farmers at the bank.
The woman (in picture) had no option but to look for plastics and started cleaning the vomit with her bare hands.

In case you missed it.
Northern Province Minister Leonard Mbao has sent words of condolence to the family and people of Mpande Chiefdom following the death of Chief Alexander Mpande the 15th, who died on 29th November 2025 and was buried on 3 December 2025.

Officiating at the funeral, Mr. Mbao described the late Chief as a loving and caring leader who was committed to national development. He called on the chief who will succeed the late leader to uphold his legacy by continuing to bring development to Mpande Chiefdom.

Mr. Mbao further urged the chiefdom to remain united and avoid any succession disputes. He emphasized that it is President Hakainde Hichilema’s wish that a new chief be installed outside the courts and without external interference.

Meanwhile, Mbala Member of Parliament and Muchinga Province Minister, Hon. Njavwa Simutowe, described the late Chief Alexander Sichula Mpande the 15th as an accommodating leader. Hon. Simutowe also thanked President Hichilema for giving the community an opportunity to mourn the late Chief with government support. He encouraged the family to remain united during the transition period.

And Senior Chief Nsokolo of the Mambwe-speaking people has granted the Mpande family 30 days of mourning, after which they may choose the next chief.

Family representative Mr. Sindala pledged to the government that the family will not use campaigns in selecting a successor. He stated that the successor will be chosen according to the family tree and established traditions.

The funeral was held in Mpande Chiefdom of Senga Hill District and was attended by many dignitaries, including councillors, mayors, council chairpersons, District Commissioners, ministers, government officials, and traditional leaders from various chiefdoms.
