Zambia Makes History!

Trade Kings Group proudly celebrates the commissioning of Zambia’s first-ever Starch and Glucose Manufacturing Plant, established under our subsidiary Kingsworth Group Limited, and inaugurated by His Excellency, President Hakainde Hichilema, at the Lusaka Multi-Facility Economic Zone (MFEZ).

This USD 110 million investment marks a bold step in Zambia’s industrial journey — turning locally grown maize into high-value products such as starch, glucose, and maltodextrin that power industries across food, beverage, and manufacturing.

The Impact:

Over 1,000 direct jobs created

USD 30 million in annual import savings

USD 150 million in export potential under AfCFTA

Strengthened farmer and SME linkages

Sustainable agricultural value chains built by Zambians, for Zambians

This milestone adds to Trade Kings Group’s continued investment in national growth, including our Dairy Gold expansion, which adds USD 30 million in new dairy processing capacity — part of a broader USD 1 billion+ total investment portfolio that continues to build industries, create jobs, and uplift communities.

From maize to starch, from milk to dairy, from consumption to production — we are powering Zambia’s future.

Namabanga Earth Dam Rehabilitated to Boost Livestock and Farming in Mumbwa

By Chansa K***a

Over 366,000 Kwacha has been invested in rehabilitating the Namabanga Earth Dam in Nagoma, Mumbwa District, under the Constituency Development Fund (CDF).

The Zambia National Service (ZNS) carried out the rehabilitation to provide an alternative water source for livestock and subsistence farmers affected by the 2023–2024 drought in Nagoma Constituency.

Mumbwa Town Council Public Relations Officer, Lusale Kaseba, stated that the project was designed to cushion the impact of the prolonged dry spell, which severely affected agriculture and livestock production in the area. She added that the council plans to construct more dams across the district to ensure year-round water access for both animals and smallholder farmers.

Meanwhile, Mumbwa District Fisheries and Livestock Coordinator, Dr. Bertha Kasanga, confirmed that the dam is already benefiting over 3,000 cattle, significantly enhancing the livelihoods of local farmers.

Community Announcement. Let's assist the Girl child. From our inbox. We require assistance in locating the mother or any relative of Ruth, a 4-year-old girl child whose mother is Brendah. They are believed to reside in Mumbwa town, Matanki or Malata compound. The child was separated from the mother on Friday, 12 September 2025, when the mother entered a restaurant to purchase food at Situmbeko from Lusaka. Please assist us in locating the mother while the child is being cared for at Kawama Clinic in the Situmbeko area.
