SUNDAY FEATURE| “The most painful truth about life is how suddenly it can end. No matter how strong, how young, how full of dreams it can all be taken in an instant. Life reminds you how fragile it is, it forces you to look at what really matters. People. Moments. Love,” says Clement Mwape.
Born to Mr Michael Mwape and Mrs Elizabeth Muleya-Mwape on June 30, 1965, Mr Mwape is the 4th born in a family of 12.
He began his education in 1974 at Mutamba Primary School in Mufulira. From there he went to Kantanshi Secondary School for his Junior High.
After his father retired in 1986, Mr Mwape moved in with his sister in Ndola and started his senior high at Lubuto Secondary School where he graduated in 1989.
“During my time at Lubuto Secondary School, I was sharing the same desk with former Copperbelt Permanent Secretary Augustine Kasongo,” says Mr Mwape. “The now Copperbelt Minister Elisha Matambo was a year behind us.”
Mr Mwape worked for the defunct Swap Spinning Mills for seven years before he became a truck driver, an occupation he had held to this day.
Married with four children, Mr Mwape enjoys socializing in his free time.
