⏩AFRO MIXING EPISODE 3- BASIC VOCAL EDITING USING WAVES ❗❗

On this episode I`ll be sharing some basic vocal editing tips I use for my vocal mixes, these are some of the important things I consider whenever I start to mix any vocals and I believe they will give you a solid starting point to your mixes if applied.

Note: the song was recorded using an AKG Perception 120 microphone connected into a MBOX 2 soundcard so my EQ SETTINGS (CUTS AND BOOSTS) for this specific song were tailor made to accent any frequency advantages and remove any disadvantages to this SETUP!. REMEMBER, every setup has its own sound and thus EQ settings will vary depending on the MICROPHONE, SOUNDCARD and INTERFACE used among other things.

❗I got bored and decided to try to produce🎙 and mix🎛 an instrumental using only FruityLoops 11!

⏩All the sounds I used to produce and mix were from FL11 (sytrus, toxic etc), no external Plugins or VSTs were used during the production and mixing of this instrumental.

AfroMixing premieres this Wednesday, 1st April 2020. On the first ever episode I’ll be giving you some basic vocal recording tips using Cubase 5. these tips are meant to help you get decent vocal/ instrument recordings and that is the first step to getting a decent commercial master to your music. We will also be discussing INPUT/OUTPUT GAIN and SIGNAL TO NOISE RATIO among others.
