Consumers are not just buyersβ€”they are powerful protectors of public health!

On World Food Safety Day, commemorated under the theme β€œFood Safety: Science in Action,” Theresa Kaputula, Senior Inspector at the Zambia Compulsory Standards Agency (ZCSA) for the Northern Region, reminded consumers of the vital role they play in the food supply chain.

πŸ—£οΈ β€œConsumers must not only choose what to buy carefully, but also serve as whistleblowers for regulatory agencies like ZCSA,” she said.

She urged the public to report any unsafe or suspicious food and emphasized the importance of proper food handling at home.

β€œFood safety is a shared responsibility ” she added. πŸ“’ If you see expired food, broken seals, or poor hygiene at a food outletβ€”don’t stay silent.

Zambia Wake Up Party (ZAWAPA) President Howard K***a has joined the nation in mourning the passing of former President Edgar Lungu.

In a statement, Mr. K***a expressed profound sorrow and extended his deepest condolences to the Lungu family and the Patriotic Front Party.

Mr. K***a acknowledged President Lungu's dedication to Zambia's development and his impact on the country's political landscape.

He directed all ZAWAPA leaders and structures to suspend mobilization activities out of respect for the former President, allowing the nation to mourn with dignity.

Mr. K***a directed that ZAWAPA shall resume its activities after the burial.
