ZAMMSA TRUCK INCIDENT - NO INJURIES OR SUPPLY LOSS REPORTED
The Zambia Medicines and Medical Supplies Agency (ZAMMSA) wishes to inform the public that on Friday, 18th July 2025, one of its trucks (GRZ 212 CS) was involved in a road traffic accident while returning to Lusaka after successfully delivering medical supplies to Kashikishi.
We are pleased to report that there were no injuries or casualties, and the driver is safe and currently cooperating with authorities at Chalata Police Station. The incident has since been referred to Mkushi Police Station for continued investigation.
Importantly, no medicines or medical supplies were lost, as the truck had completed its delivery prior to the accident. The Agency’s distribution operations remain unaffected and continue as scheduled.
ZAMMSA, in collaboration with the Central Provincial Health Administration, the Zambia Police Service, and other relevant government departments, has activated its standard recovery procedures. The Agency is committed to full transparency and is working closely with authorities to ascertain the cause of the accident.
