Visit Chatenta Hot Springs Today

Chatenta hot springs are located in Nanyanga community forest management area in Bbakasa about 50 minutes drive from Siavonga township.

The hot springs are in a shrine area full of spirits.

If you want to visit Chatenta hot springs you have first to pray to God for protection because you might get lost while there.

The water in the hot springs is spiritual and it is able to heal skin diseases, STI's, malaria and other diseases.

So there is no need for people to spend money to buy healing water because you can get it in Siavonga for free of charge.

It is reported that Siavonga District is the only place in the world blessed with hot springs that have got healing water.

So we can proudly say that apart from being a tourist destination Siavonga is also a place of 'Holy water'.

According to reports, some people like Indians, Chinese and Lebanese visits Chatenta hot springs to get the water which they use to heal skin diseases and cleanse their bodies.

It is also surprisingly to know that the same water also produces white substances which is used to make salt.

Chatenta hot springs were discovered long time ago by the Tonga speaking people who by then respected and feared it because of the
