To fund just Year 1 of these promises, the government would need K259.5 Billion.
However, Zambia's ENTIRE 2026 national budget is only K200 Billion.
This means he already needs K60 Billion more than the entire national budget—before paying for hospitals, roads, police, or foreign debt.
Now, compare this to what Zambia actually earns:
· Zambia’s total monthly government revenue is approximately K10.8 Billion per month.
· This means the Student Meal Allowance alone (K2.75 Billion/month) consumes 25% of ALL government revenue every single month—just for meals.
· To pay for Year 1 alone (K259.5B), the government would need to spend every single kwacha collected for 24 straight months—leaving absolutely nothing for any other public service.
· For the full 5-year total (K1.177 Trillion), the government would need every kwacha Zambia collects for the next 10 YEARS—just to cover these promises alone.
In simple terms: If every Zambian taxpayer, miner, and business gave 100% of their income to the government for 10 years straight, it still would not be enough.
💀 THE KILLER FLAW: ZERO PRODUCTION
Revelation News also notes that this manifesto contains zero investment in factories, zero investment in mines, and zero investment in new businesses.
Giving civil servants a 300% pay rise adds K59 Billion to the budget every year—but they are producing no new goods or services. The government would simply be printing money to fund salaries.
