Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.”

Prayer

Heavenly Father,
I come before You with a heart full of gratitude. Thank You for Your endless love, Your unchanging grace, and Your constant presence in my life.

Thank You for the breath in my lungs, the strength in my body, and the peace in my heart. Even when I face challenges, You remain faithful.

Lord, I thank You not only for what You’ve given me, but for who You are my provider, my protector, and my peace.

Teach me to always see Your hand in every part of my life and to live with a thankful spirit every day.

He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.

Prayer

Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up those who are weak in body, in mind, in spirit, or in circumstances. You are the God who strengthens the weary and renews the broken. Lord, stretch out Your hand to uphold those who feel like they cannot go on. Be their rock, their shield, and their ever present help in times of trouble.

Grant them peace that surpasses understanding and hope that overcomes fear. Let them know they are never alone, for You walk with them through every valley.

Father, restore their strength like the eagle’s, that they may rise again and move forward in Your power.

Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.
So if you have not been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, who will trust you with true riches?

Prayer

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the gift of this new day and the blessings You have entrusted to me. I acknowledge that all I have comes from You. Lord, help me to be faithful and responsible in managing the resources You have placed in my hands. Teach me to be wise in spending, diligent in saving, and generous in giving. Protect my heart from greed and help me to use money as a tool for good to provide, to build, and to bless others.

Principal Urges Solwezi Trades Students to Take Studies Seriously

Solwezi Trades Training Institute, Principal Ethel Mbewe, has urged students to take their education seriously, especially those sponsored by the government.

Speaking during an interaction with the media, Madam Mbewe said many students were not showing enough commitment to their studies.

She stressed that government sponsorship is a rare privilege and should not be taken for granted.

She expressed concern that some learners are neglecting their responsibilities, despite the government’s efforts to support them through education.

She warned that such behaviour can harm both their personal future and the country’s progress.

The principal encouraged all students to take full advantage of the resources and training available at the institute saying that education is key to improving lives and building a better nation.

The principal has since called on students to remain focused, serious, and responsible in their academic journey so they can contribute meaningfully to society after graduation.

IBA Encourages Radio Investment in North-Western Province

The Independent Broadcasting Authority (IBA) has urged people in North-Western Province to take advantage of available opportunities to set up radio stations.

This call comes after the IBA held an outreach programme in the province to raise awareness about radio broadcasting.

IBA Board Member Oliver Kanene said the authority has advertised available frequencies and wants more local businesses and groups to apply.

He added that people should also use the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) to spread information about the licensing process.

Meanwhile North-Western Province Deputy Permanent Secretary Luckson Mulumbi welcomed the initiative. He said better access to information is key to national development.

Mr. Mulumbi said the IBA’s work will help grow both community and commercial radio stations in the province.

Solwezi Urban Clinic Records High Delivery Rate

Solwezi Urban Clinic’s maternity ward has recorded a high delivery rate, with the highest reaching 80% and the lowest at 64% in June 2025.

Sister In-Charge Audrey Musema said the clinic also saw an increase in twin deliveries, with 12 sets of twins delivered between January and June.

She said this during an interview with Solwezi FCC Radio and encouraged expectant mothers to come prepared with all required items.

She noted that coming with the right materials helps health workers give better care and avoid complications.

And one of the mothers at the clinic, Elizabeth Chibanda, said she is happy with the services she received.

Ms. Chibanda encouraged the clinic to continue supporting expectant mothers in the district.

KIMASALA RESIDENT WARNS OF ROAD DANGER FROM HEAVY TRUCKS

A concerned resident of Kimasala, Mr. Greenson Sakanya, has raised alarm over the use of a narrow road by heavy trucks and machines.

Mr. Sakanya told Solwezi FCC Radio that the road is already too small for normal traffic, and it’s now being used by trucks carrying gravel and materials.

He said the situation is dangerous, especially for young and inexperienced road users like cyclists and riders.

Mr. Sakanya warned that the risk of accidents is increasing every day.

He has called on authorities to act quickly by finding other routes or widening the road.

He said doing so will help avoid accidents and protect lives in the area.
