Its saddening that Kapfupi, who in his heyday, was arguably Zimbabwe’s funniest comedian, is now embattled and enstranged.
Kapfupi was recently deserted by his wife of 20 years, who was popularly known as Mai Ngaa.
Kapfupi alleges that Mai Ngaa fled with an illicit lover, while Mai Ngaa counters that she left because Kapfupi drank to intolerable levels, and that at one stage, ate their toddler’s faeces which were in a chamber pot whilst he was in one of his many fits of rage.

Seven nurses from the maternity ward at Masvingo Provincial Hospital were arraigned before a disciplinary hearing on Wednesday and Friday this week for allegedly demanding US$50 bribes from expecting mothers in return for good and proper service.

The practise is allegedly now common in Government hospitals and Masvingo Mirror was recently told that Molline Madziyire who stayed in Beitbridge died at Gwanda Provincial Hospital on July 2, 2025 after she failed to raise US$50 bribe for nurses. She entered the hospital in good condition and died a few hours later.

More than 700 war veterans and Zanu PF supporters are stranded at Clipsham Farm in Masvingo as Government fails to offer them alternative land following the seizure of their 1 167,020 hectare land by land barons connected to powerful politicians.
The group which has offer letters for 1,5 hectares each issued in 2021 and has been living on the land for the last 24 years only received verbal communication of their eviction on June 21, 2024 and the next thing they saw were land development machinery ploughing through their fields constructing roads and other infrastructure for a residential area.

Police has apprehended Lawrence Nduna Mlambo (23) who has been on the run since December 2023 after allegedly murdering a fellow gold panner in Mashava, Masvingo.

Three schools from Masvingo Province won medals at the Pan-African High Schools Debate competitions held in Nairobi, Kenya last week.

Junior High School (Masvingo) won four medals while Tongaat Hulett Zimbabwe (THZ) run Hippo Valley and Chiredzi Government High schools (Chiredzi) won a medal each.
