Waste Management: Day 8 Tip.

Dobha Uphile! Nhonga Urarame! Pick for Survival

Waste has value. Collect and bundle valuable recyclables like pet bottles, card board, aluminum cans, and sell to local collectors.

This turns "trash" into income for informal waste workers and supports local recycling companies. This is how we support local livelihoods, drive the circular economy, and drastically reduce the pollution ending up in our landfills and waterways.

Day 6: Waste Management Tip

✔️Carry a reusable shopping bag

Every time you say, "No thanks, I brought my own!" to a plastic bag at the shop, you are directly reducing plastic waste that could end up polluting our land and waterways. Those single-use bags last for centuries!

Keep a reusable bag folded up in your handbag, backpack, or in your car. If it's visible, you won't forget it!

Let us know in the comments section if you have a reusable bag and where you keep it so that you never forget it?

• Essential medicines available, especially ARVs at Mutiusinazita.
âš What Needs Attention:
• Water shortages at Avoca Hospital.
• Low pay & poor housing for health workers.

30 Days, 30 Actions for CLIMATE ACTION | Day 5

Waste Management Tip

Action of the Day: Turn your food scraps into rich soil for your garden.

Don't throw away your vegetable peels, leftover sadza, or fruit skins! 🥕🥭 These are valuable gifts from nature.

Tip: Compost your food scraps to make natural, rich fertilizer.

Think of it this way:

Stop the Waste: Instead of throwing them far away, you enrich your soil.

Feed the Soil:The scraps rot and turn into soft, dark soil (compost) that is the best food for your crops and helps your soil hold more rain water.

This simple act makes your garden stronger and your harvests bigger! It's zero waste that gives you something precious back.

What kitchen scraps will you use to feed your soil today?👇
