Empowering Rural Youth Through Digital InclusionπŸŒπŸ’»

We are proud to announce that Progression Digital Ark, in collaboration with The Independent African Church(IAC) (Mushakata), has taken a bold step toward bridging the digital divide in rural communities.

A new Youth Center has been established in Muchakagara Village, Nhedziwa Ward 4, hosted at the church premises. The center is now equipped with:
βœ… WiFi connectivity
βœ… Indoor games

This initiative aligns with our core objective of establishing ,ICT hubs in underserved rural areas, ensuring that young people , vulnerable children and youth gain access to a technology-driven environment and acquire essential digital skills for the future.

We are thrilled to see this vision becoming a reality and extend our deepest appreciation to the IAC Church for welcoming this initiative.

Together, we are shaping a digitally inclusive future.

Day 2 of our capacity building on facilitation β€” what an incredible finale! 🎬

Today, we took theory into action with an onsite practical implementation of facilitation. The newly trained facilitators first did a group test facilitation at the workshop. This practice run helped a lot in pinpointing areas that needed polishing β€” from delivery and timing to handling questions.

Then, confident and prepared, they stepped into the real world and led facilitated film screenings at:

🏫 Chimanimani Junior School
🏫 Ngangu Primary School
🏫 Chimanimani High School

The facilitators did a brilliant job facilitating real audiences; for many, it was their first time expressing confidence in front of a live audience. Thanks to the group test session, they knew exactly where to improve, and they really did well. They were truly happy, and the audiences were engaged and responsive.

This has been a fruitful capacity building from start to finish.

We extend our deepest gratitude to all our stakeholders who made this possible:

National AIDS Council (Chimanimani DAC)
Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Development and Vocational Training
Department of Social Development
YPN Chimanimani

Thank you for believing in this vision and supporting the growth of young facilitators using film as a tool for dialogue.

Until next time β€” keep facilitating, keep screening, keep the conversation going. πŸŽ₯

The purpose of this capacity building is to: train participants to become facilitators using film as a tool for dialogue in facilitated film screenings, while also transferring mobile filming skills. The program aims to enhance participants' skills and knowledge, and will include an onsite facilitated film screening.

We extend our sincere appreciation to:

Today we stepped into the classroom with our very first IT course cohort in Chimanimani. In collaboration with Nyanyadzi Vocational Training Center and the Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Development and Vocational Training , the lessons have officially kicked off.

We are super thrilled to see young people building the skills that will carry them into modern workspaces, open doors to purseue the IT field, and empower their own homegrown innovations. This is more than a course. It's an unlocking.

Starting from small beginnings till our communities get digital skills
