🚫WHY PEOPLE FAILED TO MARCH ON 31 MARCH
The demonstration yesterday did not fail because people were afraid of anyone or because ZANU PF outsmarted everyone.
It failed because it lacked widespread public anger. Without sufficient public frustration, there was no clear direction, roadmap, or shared purpose to unite people behind the action.
For any demonstration to gain momentum, people need to understand why they are participating, what they hope to achieve, and how those objectives can realistically be pursued.
In Zimbabwe, protests or demonstrations are most likely to gain momentum under two circumstances:
1. When Nelson Chamisa decides to mobilize supporters.
2. When there is significant friction or internal conflict within ZANU PF.
The government's response to the recent demonstration rumors was very normal. It shows that the possibility of public protests can influence decision-making and draw attention to people's concerns.
At the same time, while protests can be an effective way for citizens to express their views and have their voices heard, they can also lead to disorder, disruption, or other unintended consequences if they escalate.

I have seen some leaders celebrating or acting as though they have defeated those who spread the information about the planned demonstrations. I don't think that is the right approach.
Rather than boasting, this is an opportunity to listen to the concerns of the people and focus on doing good. Zimbabwe is at a critical stage, and what citizens need most is effective leadership, practical solutions, and visible progress.
Another thing is that we should move beyond constant political praise. It is time for Zimbabweans to unite around the shared goal of building the nation, without isolating or excluding anyone because of political differences.
The message we should be preaching now is not personalities or political parties, but results—improved livelihoods, better services, economic opportunities, and meaningful development for every Zimbabwean.
