The Wafa Wafa Super 12 was over.
Dandaro FC didn’t lift the trophy, but they walked off with their heads up. Black and red jerseys, mud on their knees, and that feeling you only get when you’ve left everything on the pitch.
Days later the notice went up:

The boys didn’t panic. This was Dandaro.

17’ Abubaka put them ahead.
38’ Chigumira made it 3.
Netone pulled one back at 68’ through Mashiri. 3-2. Tense.
Then Divarson from Netone lost his head. Yellow at 39’, another reckless tackle at 70’, red at 75’. Down to 10.
55’ Sailesi made it 4-2.
And in the 87th minute, Sheinny Marimo — MOTM — picked the ball up on the wing, same wing he worked after his factory shifts. He didn’t shoot. He crossed.
Chijaka again. 5-2.
Final whistle.
Fans in black and red were singing.
