A dramatic incident unfolded in Bulawayo when a woman dressed in a nurse aide uniform was accidentally shot in the thigh by CID detectives pursuing a Nissan Tilda vehicle. The shooting occurred near a Zuva garage located at the intersection of 12th Avenue and Fort Street, causing panic among bystanders.

According to witnesses, the detectives were driving a white Toyota Fortuner as they chased the suspect vehicle. In the midst of the pursuit, shots were fired, one of which struck the woman. Shockingly, the detectives did not stop to check on the injured individual or offer any form of assistance, leaving her bleeding at the scene.

The woman's condition remains unclear, though she was reportedly attended to by passersby before emergency services arrived. Eyewitnesses described the incident as chaotic, with the sound of gunfire causing confusion and fear in the busy area.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting raise questions about the protocols followed by law enforcement during high-stakes operations.
