Yesterday, Young Women 4 Economic Development (YW4ED) conducted a Mukando distribution program in UMP District, a district under Mashonaland East Province.
The Mashonaland East Chapter, which is led by Cde Farai Chinomona, continues to register meaningful impact at district level through empowerment-focused initiatives.
The event was graced by the YW4ED National Executive in charge of Mashonaland East, Cde Nyasha Mhonda, who also officiated as the Guest of Honour, alongside Cde Fagio Maroca, also a National Executive in charge of Mashonaland East. The program was also attended by ZANU PF leadership from UMP District, demonstrating strong political support and unity in advancing women’s economic empowerment.
In her address, Cde Nyasha Mhonda emphasized women’s economic empowerment as a key driver towards the attainment of Vision 2030, and she expressed gratitude to His Excellency, President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa, for his visionary leadership and continued support for initiatives that uplift young women and communities.
The following items were distributed to beneficiaries:

4 pairs of chairs
2 beds with mattresses
2 gas tanks
1 generator
1 water pump
8 bags of fertilizer
3 fridges
4 solar panels (450 watts)
5 kitchen units
Door frames and meranti (marata)
The program reaffirmed YW4ED’s unwavering commitment to empowering young women, strengthening local economies, and contributing meaningfully to the realization of Vision 2030.
