The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has published a list of 1,241 vehicles that were captured on camera driving through red traffic lights in Harare CBD.

The owners of these vehicles are required to report to their nearest police station within 7 days to help with investigations.

The ZRP is reminding all drivers to respect traffic signals to keep traffic moving smoothly and to reduce the risk of accidents.

A word of caution: Ignoring traffic rules endangers lives. Safe driving protects you, your passengers, and every other road user. Letsall play our part by obeying the rules of the road.

Two male learners from Masasi High School in Marange, Manicaland Province, yesterday appeared before the Mutare Magistrates’ Court facing charges of gang-raping a 17-year-old schoolmate, in a case that has sparked widespread outrage.

The pair, both aged 16, allegedly committed the offence which was captured in a disturbing video that circulated on social media drawing condemnation.

Prosecutors successfully opposed bail, arguing that the seriousness of the offence, coupled with the public outcry, warranted the continued detention of the accused. The court remanded the case to October 14 for further proceedings.

Zim Breaking News :Zimbabwean Government slashes fees and Levies in livestock, dairy, and stockfeed sectors as part of ease of doing business reforms

The government has introduced sweeping reforms in the livestock, dairy, and stockfeed sectors, significantly reducing compliance costs for farmers and small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs). Key changes include:

- AMA farm registration fee reduced to $1
- Dairy processor registration fee cut from $350 to $50
- Feed manufacturer registration fee set at $20
- Livestock clearance fees reduced from $10 per animal to $5 per herd
- Import/export permit fees slashed (e.g., dairy exports from $900 to $10, meat export from $500 to $100)
- Health certificate fees reduced from $300 to $100
- Abattoir setup fee cut from $350 to $50
- Veterinary registration fee reduced from $600 to $100
- EMA effluent disposal fee cut from $800 to $100
- ZINWA abstraction fees abolished
- EIA Licence fee reduced from 1.5% to 0.05% of project value (capped at $100,000)

These reforms aim to ease the cost of doing business, encourage formalization, and stimulate investment, productivity, and job creation in rural areas.
