H.E. President E.D Mnangagwa, has formally presented 102 vehicles to the Zimbabwe Defence Forces (ZDF) as part of a comprehensive programme to strengthen the institution’s operational capacity. This allocation is the opening phase of a larger initiative through which the ZDF will ultimately receive more than 700 vehicles - the first occasion in the organisation’s history that such a sizeable consignment has been delivered within such a short timeframe.
The scheme also includes a fleet of buses to facilitate both intra-city and inter-city transport for personnel. A portion of the vehicles form part of the service conditions for senior officers, addressing long-standing gaps whereby some had gone several years without receiving their full entitlements.
