*Your Effort Must Match The Desired Outcome*

The effort required to lift a kitchen knife is far less than the energy required to lift 150kg weights in the gym. Here's the problem, many people want to lift 150kg type things in their life with kitchen effort. It simply won't work. Even Elisha was told that to get a double portion, he needed to pay the requisite price.

Consider the following areas in your life and whether the effort you're putting will match the outcomes you desire;

_*Your Prayer Life_
_*You Fasting_
_*Your Word Disciplines (how much of the Bible you ought to take in)_
_*Your work Ethic_
_*Your study and learning disciplines_
_*Your giving_

The list is endless. Just know this, your effort must match your desired outcome otherwise you'll forever wonder why certain realities never happen in your life. No wonder Jesus said "this kind can come out by nothing but prayer and fasting" Mk 9:29.

Only God

Sometimes our sorrow comes from expecting from man that which only God can give. Spare yourself unnecessary disappointments and heart aches. Wisdom places low Expectations on people and High Expectations on God.

There's love and affection and attention that you'll never get from people_. Seek God and enjoy His unending love.

There's empathy and understanding that people just won't give you._ Being angry at them exposes your foolish ignorance. God sees you, knows you, and understands you.

There's help that can only come from God_ and not those usual suspects who you pull out your hairs wondering why they can't help you. Seek God, He is a perfect source and provider Who won't fail.

Stop expecting from Governments,Politicians,Friends,Family etc things that only God can give_. Don't sacrifice your peace because of humans in power/politics.

Verses to Read and Internalize Deeply
_Look to God and His Strength, seek His face always..._ Psalm 105:4

_Those who look to you are radiant, their faces are never covered with shame..._ Psalm 34:5

_The king replied, “If the Lord does not help you, where can I get help for you?_ 2 Kings 6:27

_Our help is in the name of the Lord..._ Psalm 124:8

Deceit is always linked with being wicked. But we sow righteousness
when we have integrity and tell the truth. This is something that’s not honored
in our society. There are many people who do business deceitfully. They will
give one price and then tack on other charges and manipulate people. They
do this and think somehow or another they’re getting ahead. The Bible says
that it’s wicked, and these people won’t prosper. If we’re righteous, we have a
sure reward. The way the world thinks they can manipulate, take advantage of
people, be deceitful, lie, misrepresent things, and still prosper and get ahead
is wrong. It’ll always bite them in the end. Every single time.

It doesn’t matter if millions of people are being wicked; it is still wrong,
and they will be punished. Most people miss this. If they see that the majority
of people are acting a certain way and it’s what society is doing, they think it is
okay. But the majority of people have lowered the standard. Society might say
that adultery isn’t wrong, “shacking up” with someone isn’t wrong, and homosexuality isn’t wrong. It’s easy to think that if the majority of people are doing
something, hand joins in hand, then it’s okay. But it doesn’t matter what society
says. We need to base our lives on the Word of God and stand for godliness.
And if we do that, then “the seed of the righteous shall be delivered.” It will
benefit not only us but also our descendants.

The reason behind many tears, disappointments, defeats for the saints is their refusing to follow God's instruction. I've seen many ignore the counsel of God to their own detriment. Wise people are adept at receiving and following God's instructions. God's ways are not optional. When He speaks, our only response must be to accept and then do what He says. If you do that then you're wise indeed and your victories will be many.

Where do you place your value? If you value the approval of others—your spouse, friends, or boss—that’s up to you. But nothing compares to loving God and treasuring what He’s done.

God Is Discipline Personified: Imitate Him

For me, The verse that embodies God being disciplined is Hebrews 13:8
_"Jesus Is the same yesterday, today and forever"_

Imagine that? He doesn't change. He can't change. He won't change. Despite all that God has seen thru the ages, He remains the same. His Word never even changes, and for that we are better off. Imagine if we woke up and God totally changed everything He said?😱😱😱 We'd be toast! Dead! Finished.

Discipline is very Godly because it means you maintain a certain course despite the changing circumstances and people. It means sticking to the same good routine even when you don't feel like it. Child of God, when you walk in discipline Satan will have nothing on you.

You are walking in discipline. You'll consistently do so by grace.

He Uses The Usable

John 2:24, 'But Jesus did not commit himself unto them, because he knew all [men].'

JOHN 2:18-25
This was the first time Jesus had ministered in Jerusalem. Multitudes believed on Him when they saw the miracles He performed (v. 23). This looked like a perfect opportunity for Jesus to take these people and use them to spread the news far and wide that He was the Christ. Instead Jesus did just the opposite. He didn't want people proclaiming His gospel in their own ability.

This reveals an attitude of Jesus which is lacking among many Christians today. Jesus is more concerned with the quality of ministry than the quantity of ministry. In contrast, today's Christians often feel that 'the end justifies the means.'

We take new converts and place them in leadership--which is directly opposed to the Bible's instructions (1 Tim. 3:6). Many times movie stars or other famous people who have come to the Lord are made spokesmen for the Christian faith. This works to the harm of these people and the Body of Christ as a whole.

Some of you can't understand why the Lord hasn't used you, but rest assured the Lord is using everyone who is usable. Instead of looking at the need and begging God to use you, take a hard look at yourself and ask the Lord to make you usable.

Let God Minister To You

John 13:8 'Peter saith unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me.'

JOHN 13:5-8
Peter's refusal to let Jesus wash his feet came from a knowledge that he was totally unworthy to have the sinless Son of God serve him as a common servant would. Peter was correct in his assessment of his relative worth, but what he missed was that God doesn't minister to us because of our worth but because of His love.

Even though Peter's attitude looked holy and humble, he was actually resisting God's will and committing an act of pride. Pride is not only exalting yourself above what is proper, but also, it can be debasing yourself below what is proper. Pride is simply self-centeredness or being self-willed instead of God-centered and submitted to God's will. Peter should have been humble enough to know that Jesus knew what He was doing and he should have submitted himself to God's will.

Likewise today, some people refuse to let God bless them, thinking they are unworthy of His favor. While it is true that our actions don't warrant God's goodness, a truly humble person will receive the Lord's blessings as an expression of His love and grace toward them. Misguided humility is every bit as damaging as exaggerated pride.

Peter wanted to serve Jesus, but did not want to be served by Jesus. Jesus was telling Peter that unless he received His ministry to him, Peter would be unfit to serve Him. We cannot cleanse ourselves or others. We are totally dependent on the work of God's grace in our lives. Then and only then, are we equipped to minister to others. Before we can be the blessing that we desire to be to God or to others, we have to let God be the blessing to us that He desires to be.
