Notice ⛔

ZIMRA has a issued a statement reminding certain vehicle owners and drivers that they must pay a fixed monthly tax called Presumptive Tax. This applies to vehicles carrying passengers or goods for business purposes (like kombis, taxis, driving schools, and trucks). The Monthly Tax Rates in USD are as follows:

- Kombis (8–14 passengers): $50
- Kombis (15–24 passengers): $60
- Kombis (25–36 passengers): $80
- Kombis (37+ passengers): $100
- Taxi-cabs (up to 7 passengers): $35
- Driving schools (Class 4): $50
- Driving schools (Class 1 & 2): $100
- Trucks (10–20 tonnes): $200
- Trucks (above 20 tonnes): $500
- Small trucks (10 tonnes or less but pulling trailers totalling 15–20 tonnes): $500

Important Notes:
- You will not get a license if you have not paid this tax.
- The tax can be paid in local currency at the day’s official exchange rate.
- This tax only applies to vehicles used for carrying passengers or goods for business/hire.
