🌍 Preparations Update!

A key briefing on the upcoming COP15 on Wetlands took place recently at UN Geneva!

🗣️ Musonda Mumba (Secretary General, Ramsar Convention) and Nesbert Samasuwo (Zimbabwe’s Deputy UN Rep) led discussions on plans for the conference, set for 23–31 July 2025 in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe.
🌊 Tatiana Valovaya (UN Geneva Director-General) opened the event, with insights from Mr. Shen Jian (China’s Deputy UN Rep) and Jerker Tamelander (Convention on Wetlands Science Director).

Wetlands are vital for biodiversity, climate resilience, and communities—yet 35% have vanished since 1970. COP15 aims to drive global action to protect these ecosystems.
