Nkayi Father Claims Daughter Enjoyed R@p€ in Chilling Courtroom Defense

BULAWAYO – Gasps filled the courtroom as a Nkayi man, accused of r@ping his 16-year-old daughter, claimed she “enjoyed the acts” and had consented by staying silent.

The 42-year-old man made the statement during his appearance at the Bulawayo Regional Court, where he faces multiple counts of s€xu@l abuse allegedly committed between 2024 and May 2025.

Prosecutor Jethro Mada told the court that the assaults began when the victim’s mother was away from home, leaving the children under the accused’s supervision.

On one occasion, traditional healers visited the homestead and the mother accompanied them to her in-laws’ village.

The accused allegedly sent the younger sibling outside, isolated the girl, and r@p€d her—threatening her with a spear and axe if she spoke out.

The victim later revealed that her father warned he would kill her and her mother if she disclosed the abuse.

Although she confided in her mother after the first incident, no action was taken.

The assaults allegedly continued during other absences, including trips to Esingeni and Dlawa.

In each case, the accused reportedly used threats to force himself on the girl.

After enduring repeated abuse and receiving no protection, the victim....

A BIZARRE cult has been using sÂŁx as a form of prayer, luring desperate women to a bushy shrine in Pumula South, Bulawayo, with fake promises providing them with blessings of love, marriage and faithful partners.

A viral video of women’s underwear hanging from bushes sent social media into a frenzy about three weeks ago.

The underwear was hung like a grotesque display of trophies.

B-Metro visited the site and uncovered disturbing details of how self-styled prophets preyed on vulnerable women, convincing them that their “healing” required them to have s£x with the prophets.

A 39-year-old woman, who spoke on condition of anonymity, admitted she went through the ritual last year and even claims it worked.

“My dream was to get married young, like my mother who got married at 18. But I was always unlucky in love,” she said.

She revealed that a woman at her church introduced her to the prophets, saying they had a reputation for “fixing” women’s problems.

“At the shrine, the prophet prayed for me, then told me to strip naked. He washed my p@nties in what he called holy water, then began touching me while praying.

“He massaged my breasts and private parts and later said my womb was the problem.”

The ritual ended with the prophet having sÂŁx with her in what he deemed was an act to deal with the problem.

“He told me to leave my panties behind, saying they contained evil spirits that would follow me home. Two weeks later, my man paid lobola,” she said, insisting the prophet saved her life.

When this reporter suggested she had been abused, she snapped.

“I knew what I was doing. He helped me and I don’t want you to destroy this lifeline for other women,” she said angrily, before storming off.

Bindura Man takes Wife to DNA Test After 'Catching Her ChÂŁating in a Dream'

A 32-year-old man from Chipadze, Bindura, recently appeared on the Tinashe Mugabe DNA Show seeking answers to long-held suspicions about the paternity of his three children.

The man claimed he was driven by persistent rumors and vivid, recurring dreams of infidelity involving his 27-year-old wife — dreams that, in his view, mirrored reality.

Bulilima Man Nabbed for Snaring, Slaughtering Villager’s Cow

A 39-year-old man from Tshankwa Village in Bulilima, Matabeleland South, has appeared in court facing stock theft charges after villagers accused him of using snare wires to trap cattle.

Martin Ndlovu was arraigned before Plumtree magistrate Mr Joshua Nembaware on Wednesday, following an incident on September 15 at Forest Farm, where he allegedly captured and slaughtered a brown-and-white cow belonging to fellow villager Sifiso Moyo.

Ndlovu was not asked to plead and was remanded in custody until September 30, 2025.

The court also ordered that he be examined by two medical professionals under the Mental Health Act, after he reportedly displayed signs of mental instability.

Baby Socks Not a Substitute: Health Officials Reject Condom Panic

Misleading claims about condom shortages in Zimbabwe have flooded social media and some international news outlets, sparking public concern over HIV prevention efforts.

The false narrative, amplified by anti-Government groups, follows the United States’ decision to halt foreign health aid to Zimbabwe earlier this year—a move that affected funding for free condoms, antiretrovirals, and other critical health services.

The controversy was triggered by an AFP report published on September 15, 2025,
titled “US aid cuts force Zimbabwe s*x workers to use unsafe alternatives.”

Deep within the article, a s*x worker was quoted saying she had resorted to using baby socks due to condom stockouts.

That isolated quote was later sensationalized by some organisations, resulting in misleading headlines such as “Desperation in Zimbabwe: S*x Workers Use Baby Socks as Condom Shortage Worsens.”

Health experts have strongly dismissed the claim, warning that such misinformation is not only inaccurate but also dangerous.
