Tytan Distances Himself as Olinda and Stunner Steal Spotlight at Zimfest 2025

LONDON – Zimbabwean musician Njabulo “Tytan” Nkomo has dismissed speculation linking him to his ex-wife Olinda Chapel, after she was spotted cosying up to rapper Desmond “Stunner” Chideme at Zimfest 2025.

The former couple, who divorced in 2017, appeared unusually friendly at the UK-based festival, fuelling rumours of a rekindled romance.

Social media buzzed after footage showed Olinda and Stunner dancing and laughing together, prompting fans to question Tytan’s stance.

He responded with sharp retorts on Instagram, brushing off suggestions of jealousy. “Handina shavi rechihure,” he replied to one user.

BULAWAYO – A family in Bulawayo’s North End suburb is appealing for assistance after a fire destroyed their home on Monday evening, leaving them without shelter or belongings.

The blaze is suspected to have been caused by an electrical fault, although investigations are ongoing.

Firefighters arrived promptly, but the flames had already spread rapidly, making containment difficult.

Ruwa Man Kidnapped and Assaulted Over Alleged Relationship with 14-Year-Old Girl, Pit Bull Used in Extortion Plot

A Ruwa man was kidnapped, beaten, and threatened with a pit bull by his neighbours on Saturday, accused of dating their 14-year-old daughter, according to police.

The victim, identified as 42-year-old Stanley Munhungeyi, was at his home when the teenage girl from a neighbouring household came to charge her phone.

Moments later, her mother, Etheline Mudare, returned accompanied by two other women and allegedly launched a violent confrontation.

According to Harare provincial police spokesperson Inspector Luckmore Chakanza, the trio accused Munhungeyi of dating the teenager.

One of the women struck him on the head with a brick, and they all beat him repeatedly with sticks.

They then dragged Munhungeyi to their home, where the girl’s father, Prosper Mbengo, reportedly joined in the assault.

The group allegedly forced him to accompany them to Msasa, where he was made to withdraw US$100 from his bank account.

Upon returning, Mudare contacted another relative described as an uncle, who demanded more money.

Soon after, a sixth suspect arrived with a pit bull and allegedly threatened to unleash the dog if Munhungeyi failed to provide additional cash.

Criminals Bolt in Soweto After Mistaking ZCC Men for SAPS Unit

SOWETO— A group of petty criminals abandoned a robbery attempt on Sunday afternoon after mistaking a group of Zion Christian Church (ZCC) members for a tactical police unit.

The suspects were caught mid-loot at a local tuck shop when they spotted a disciplined procession of sharply dressed men approaching with military-style coordination.

Eyewitnesses stated that the suspects panicked upon seeing the ZCC members, whose polished shoes glinted in the sun, green stars reflected brightly on their uniforms, and synchronized steps resembled those of an official South African Police Service (SAPS) formation.

“One individual shouted, ‘Tactical Response Team!’ and they all leapt over fences like action movie stuntmen,”....
