On the occasion of Workers' Day, we extend our warmest greetings to the people of Zimbabwe.
Today, we join the international community in celebrating the individuals who contribute to the development of our nation. As the backbone of our socio-economic progress, labour warrants our utmost respect and protection. As Government, we reaffirm our commitment to upholding the dignity of work and promoting the welfare of every worker across the country.
We acknowledge the invaluable contributions of all workers, from the market vendors who rise early to ensure their businesses thrive, to the farmers who toil to put food on our tables, and the miners whose efforts drive our economy.The dedication of teachers, healthcare professionals, engineers, and artisans is instrumental in realizing our Vision 2030.
This May Day, we recommit to fostering an environment that enables every Zimbabwean to flourish, with fair remuneration, safe working conditions, and the respect they deserve. Collectively, we are working towards a more prosperous Zimbabwe, where no one is left behind.
