Today i came across a group of young boys playing football in New Tafara’s ghetto, and I couldn’t help but stop. Their passion was raw and infectious.
One of the boys noticed me and shouted “Record us! We will get to England one day.”
I wished I had my camera with me , and I wanted to capture the moment properly. This is where the game is really being played no pitches, with nothing but heart and hope.
It struck me that most footballers start here. Before the stadiums, the scouts, and the contracts, there are games like this.
The lads had even given themselves names “Jalai,” “Denver Mukamba,” and “Billiat” playing out their dreams one kick at a time.
