Three children are feared dead, while another is suspected to have sustained injuries, following a suspected electrical fault in Rutendo high-density suburb, Redcliff, this Friday evening, plunging the community into mourning. The minors, aged nine and six, were reportedly left in the house while their mother attended a church service. Redcliff Municipality confirmed the tragic incident, with the local authority’s spokesperson, Mr Michael Magoronga, attributing the fault to alleged illegal wiring at the property.
