What a journey it has been, but itโs only the beginning of yet another phase. 7 months of intense and well calculated promotion have birthed what went public on Thursday 18th May 2023; a culmination of a force closely guided by the Most High Creator to whom much credit for these results is owed. We thank God for opening doors we cracked our heads to open.
Flextape is simply described as โFlexing on a Mixtapeโ yet this mixtape is definitely not an ordinary โstaggeryโ flex but one wielding so much power and potential to make unforgettable headways on the Zimbabwean music scene. The mixtape is not starved of flavor, an undoubted ingredient even at preliminary assessment, with a luxurious blend of vibes, emotions, commentary, melody, genres, and definitely uniqueness! MC Kampton is set to demonstrate why it is reasonable to join team Kamptonians and become a part of great history in writing.
The earthmoving mixtape has a powerful guest list with the first superstar to feature being Tamy Moyo who delivers world class vocals on track #2 titled โKamotoโ which talks about a young aspirant who promises to prove to detractors that they canโt stop the success of a focused and hungry person. Track #4 is graced by 2 living legends Bobo Kalabash Official and Tocky Vibes on a remix to the Flextape forerunner and smashing December 2022 hit โSorryโ. It was befitting to have the elders on this project which is really a community awareness campaign against alcohol and substance abuse. makes a splendid guest appearance on track #5 titled โLovingโ which is a special song where MC Kampton drops some Spanish lines in typical โflexโ style; how else to express appreciation to a lady โgiving love in the summer time, in the winter time, and everydayโ? Track #6 is dominated by and Shayne Walter Chombe who will keep you smiling as you dance to the great vibe which is a dance love number. Whenever Anita Jaxson shows up she makes sure to leave a lasting memory of great versatile vocals and exquisite delivery. She comes on track #9 titled โZvekareโ , a feisty tune detailing the corky aftermath of a one night stand. East Africa brings some goodies all the way from Kenya with a feature by on track #12 titled โOn Pointโ which will have a lady falling in love over the rich romantic afro beats. โSorryโ featuring Poptain was released last year and comes on track #13 which seals the mixtape of dream tunes. Among the solo tracks is โRwendo Rurefuโ, a self-explanatory track reminding us that despite the length of our journey we should never tire nor look back because KUNONYANYOSVIBA KODA KUCHENA.
