This is an achievement of note!!!!! 👏🏽 👏🏽 👏🏽 We celebrate Dr. Tsitsi Dangarembga Efie Dangarembwa and this huge milestone for her 🎓

| Tsitsi Dangarembga, an acclaimed novelist, filmmaker, and cultural activist, is being awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Letters (DLitt) (honoris causa) by Rhodes University.

This prestigious recognition celebrates her immense contributions to African literature, cinema, and advocacy for social justice, gender equality, and freedom of expression.

As a fearless storyteller and an advocate for African narratives, Dangarembga’s influence extends across literary, cinematic, and academic spheres.

As the Global 16 Days Campaign is approaching we are thankful to Embassy of Canada to Zimbabwe, Malawi, and Botswana for the support through the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives which will allow us to once again hold an outreach in the Zambezi Valley during the 16 Days of Activism against Gender Based Violence where we will continue to reach out to the communities for advocacy and learning on VAWG

These are moments from the 2024 Chipinge outreach, during the screening of 'EDO', where a child suffers the brutal consequences of violence between her parents.

As we approach the , we aim to raise more awareness on gender-based violence by screening educative films in communities.
