FREEZIM CONGRESS Statement on Hereos Day

By President Joseph M Busha

13 August 2025

As we commemorate the 2025 National Heroes Day, we pay tribute to the brave men and women who fought tirelessly for our nation's independence and sovereignty.

Their selflessness, courage, and resilience inspire us to build a better future for ourselves and generations to come.

We remember the sacrifices made by our liberation war heroes and heroines, whose legacy reminds us of the importance of unity, coming together as one people, one nation, to achieve our goals and overcome challenges.

Their patriotism, putting the interests of our nation first and working towards its progress and prosperity, is a shining example for us to follow.

Their hard work and diligence in the face of adversity drive us to strive for growth and development.

Let us draw inspiration from their stories and strive to create a prosperous Zimbabwe, with a strong economy, opportunities for growth, and improved living standards.

We aim for an economically stable Zimbabwe, with sustainable development, prudent management of resources, and equitable distribution of wealth.

We envision a secure Zimbabwe, where our citizens feel safe, protected, and confident in their future.

As we celebrate our heroes, we recommit ourselves to combating corruption, ensuring transparency, accountability, and good governance.

We will promote national development by investing in infrastructure, education, healthcare, and other critical sectors. We will uphold the values of love and unity that defined our struggle for independence, fostering a sense of community, mutual respect, and cooperation.

To the families of our national heroes, we extend our deepest gratitude for the sacrifices you made. Your loved ones' contributions will never be forgotten.

As we honor our heroes, let us remain united in our pursuit of progress and prosperity, working together to build a brighter future for Zimbabwe.
