What an inspiring day in Chivhu! 🙌🇿🇼

Yesterday, SAZ hosted a powerful Standardization Workshop for MSMEs under the Manufacturing Clusters Initiative and the energy was amazing!

Entrepreneurs from across sectors came together to learn about:
✨ Product testing & certification
✨ Industry-specific standards
✨ Quality improvement
✨ Real SME success stories
✨ Support available from government and industry partners

We had rich discussions on the challenges MSMEs face and the practical solutions needed to help them grow, compete, and produce quality goods that meet market expectations.

A big thank you to all participants, the Ministry of Women Affairs, Community, Small and Medium Enterprises Dev., the Zimbabwe Chamber of SMEs and our dedicated SAZ team.

Stronger MSMEs mean a stronger Zimbabwe, and together, we are raising the standard!

The Significance of the EMS Certification Mark

This mark represents more than environmental compliance it signifies an organization's proactive commitment to sustainable operations, resource efficiency and environmental stewardship.

The Environmental Management System (EMS) certification demonstrates a structured approach to reducing environmental impact while improving operational performance.

We want to hear from industry leaders and environmental professionals:

1.To certified organizations: What has been the most valuable environmental or business benefit from implementing EMS? Has it been reduced resource consumption, cost savings, enhanced regulatory compliance or improved community relations?

2.To those considering certification: What challenges does your organization face in adopting a formal Environmental Management System? Is it initial implementation costs, measuring environmental aspects or integrating sustainability into existing processes?

Share your experiences and help drive meaningful environmental progress across Zimbabwean industries.

Building Consumer Trust: The Assurance of the FSMS Certification Mark

This logo represents more than just compliance it signifies a fundamental commitment to food safety from farm to fork. For food businesses, FSMS certification is a comprehensive framework to systematically identify, prevent and control food safety hazards.

It’s a promise of safety, quality and reliability to your consumers.

We want to hear from food industry leaders and manufacturers:

1.To certified companies: How has FSMS certification tangibly strengthened your business? Was it through smoother audits, increased retailer acceptance or a stronger brand reputation for safety?

2.To those implementing a system: What is the most significant hurdle in developing your Food Safety Management System? Is it conducting a thorough hazard analysis, managing supplier compliance or training staff on new protocols?
