Two heavyweights in Zimbabwean music are set to light up the weekend with album launches happening tonight.
First up, Selmor Mtukudzi steps into her father’s giant shoes once again with a personal project titled My Story to Share. The 10-track album carries songs like Kugara naMainini, Hamire Kufara, Washingahere and more—each one a reflection of her journey, her voice, and her truth. The launch takes place at Sherwood Golf Club, with performances from SaMasamba, Dereck Mpofu, Aggy Nyabinde, and others. The music will be available on YouTube and across digital platforms soon after the launch.
Across town, Freeman HKD is set to shake Glamis Arena with his much-anticipated album, The Notebook. The HKD Boss has been teasing fans with singles from the project, and the energy leading up to this night has been electric—billboards, posters, banners, and a city-wide buzz. With the kind of groundwork the HKD team has done, Harare might just come to a standstill tonight.
Two stages. Two stories. One unforgettable night for Zimbabwean music.
